Duane Kohl

Duane entered into the Financial Services profession as a representative for the Discovery Health and Life Group, working for Discovery Advisory services in 2001.

In 2003 Duane registered his own FSP license with the Financial Services Board as an independent Financial Advisor. In 2005 he joined his practice with Strategic Financial Consulting. In 2009 Duane completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning through the University of the Free State and has since been affiliated with the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa. Through this affiliation he obtained the Certified Financial Planner® designation (CFP®).

In 2015 Duane obtained the qualification in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management from UNISA, NQF 6. Duane has successfully completed the regulatory RE1 and RE5 examinations. He has successfully completed the RFP Board assessment and RFP3 assessment.

In addition to running his own Advisory and Investment practice, Duane currently serves on both the Regional and National Financial Advisor Forum of the Liberty Group. He is an ambassador of the Advisory Code of Conduct and has signed the “Unashamedly Ethical” conduct pledge, and works closely with the Liberty Group Ethics committee.

Duane is a brand ambassador for the Financial Planning Institute (FPi) and facilitates voluntary financial literacy workshops hosted by the FPi, for the benefit of South Africans.
